Hostels in Berlin

In fact, given the prevalence of top-class hostels in the area, you could probably stay in Berlin without ever leaving Mitte itself.

This East Berlin youth hostel allows you to kick back amongst its kitschy 70’s surroundings, and even offers a guided tour of the area conducted from an authentic Soviet Trabant car.

Heart of Gold
Mitte’s ‘alternative’ hostel finally dispels any of the drab images that may be associated with hostelling. Each room here has stepped straight out of Douglas Adam’s Hitchhikers Guide to the
Galaxy. Literally. With dorms reflecting worlds, and characters adorning walls around every corner, this place is fun and fantasy through and through.
